View of town from sea.
Sailing vessel, built in style of viking ship.
Busy little harbor.
Dominating the skyline, the Stykkishólmur church. Since a funeral was taking place, we were unable to visit this architectural landmark. View a video of the inside of the church here.

The church looks incredibly modern! And in such an ancient landscape.
Re your comment. I love brickwork too ... I guess because bricks are from clay and clay is a from the earth. I like to have my feet firmly planted on the ground. I am not a cruise person.
Hello Margaret,
I just discovered your travel blog and enjoyed so much scrolling through it. Lovely photos! Lovely destinations! I have added you to my list of blogs to follow and look forward to discovering more places from around the world! Been to few of them, discovering the others...
DeeBee :)
This seems to be such a quiet place. Lovely!
In answer to your question, Margaret, I only use pocket size cameras, so no special lens for Africa... :-)
