Melbourne, Australia. Another Animal Park.

Healesville Sanctuary is near Melbourne.
This impressive sculpture of their wedge-tailed eagle is near the entrance.

I was able to get some nice KOALA photos.

Most of the KANGAROOS lounge about.
This one was more modest than most.

The Australian White Ibis is easy to spot, in and out of wildlife centers.

In the center of the compound was an impressive taxidermy display.

I apologize for the delay in posting.
I have just finished my eye surgery, so now I can see better to do this.
Secondly, Picasa had an issue with posting the photos, an that is now resolved!

Maybe its because we have so many game reserves around the area where I live, but I'm not that big on caged animals. Saying that, I also realise that not everybody has the opportunity to visit game reserves so zoos and such game parks are the only way they get to see these animals.

Firefly, this particular wildlife center rescues injured animals and restores them to a healthy life. They are kept in pleasant surroundings while they are healing (so that no "cages" are around).

Margaret, I've been enjoying many of the animals at the zoo in Madrid, I guess it will not be the same, I love koalas, that gorgeous. A greeting and I'm glad that everything goes well.
